The Liberty Center is a four-story office building with private law offices on the first and second floors.

The top two floors provide office space for the Grand Junction Public Defender’s Office. Some space on each floor was left as unfinished core and shell for future tenant finish.

The exterior of the building is composed of brick and CMU veneer with larger areas of glass, particularly on the fourth floor, where views of Grand Junction and the Colorado National Monument are especially spectacular. The building was intended to harmonize with the Justice Center across the street. The primary façade has a subtle blend of brick colors highlighted with accent bands of a slightly darker brick.

To gain parking on a tight site, the building’s ground floor is half the depth of the floors above. This setback creates covered parking off of the alley. Private law office amenities include a small kitchen/lunchroom, and an outdoor courtyard with gas fire pit and a built-in gas grill. The stone cap of the courtyard walls incorporates strip lights to provide a glowing light for the wall and courtyard at night. Locally quarried sandstone was used for the flooring in the courtyard and in the lobby.
