Old firehouse site gets converted into a multi-functional outdoor attraction.

A visit to Deadwood would not be complete without a stop at the unique outdoor venue of Outlaw Square. Chamberlin Architects led a team of designers and engineers to create this multi-functional outdoor space at the heart of downtown deadwood. Originally the site of an old firehouse, the space has been transformed into a year around outdoor entertainment and gathering space that fits the rustic steel and timber aesthetic of the locale.

A combination of local history and modern entertainment, the venue includes a prominent stage, amphitheater, open grassy seating area, restroom building, water feature and gazebo. When not hosting an organized event, visitors can enjoy the plentiful seating options, grassy space, or brick patios. In the winter the area is converted into an ice rink. Chamberlin Architects assisted in the coordination, planning and design of this treasured space.
