This new 15,350 sf building houses the Craig/Routt Interagency Fire Dispatch offices and the Little Snake Fire Management unit.
The facilities include a dispatch center, enclosed offices, open office space, conference rooms, restrooms, public room, lobby, and storage area. By placing the open office spaces around the perimeter of the building adjacent to windows, a majority of the staff has daylight views.
South facing windows have shading devises and light shelves to reduce excessive summer light and heat while reflecting light into the interior spaces. Support spaces and conference rooms that do not need natural light are located in the core of the building. Private offices, also located in the core, were provided with skylights when practical.
