Incorporating contemporary elements to create an inviting indoor/outdoor space that is as soothing as it is modern.
Chamberlin Architects was enlisted to amalgamate prior selected major contemporary elements into an existing residence. The free-form shape of the inground pool influenced a variety of aspects within the pool house including a water feature extending the full length of the south wall. The organic curves of the wall accentuate the stunning water fall effect that results.
Finished with natural wood and custom glass mosaics, the falling water creates a powerful visual while filling the space with the tranquil sound of rain. The water is lit with soft light that is dimmable and can change color, allowing the space to offer a range of experiences both day and night.
Other features include a dramatic vaulted ceiling, a fully customized kitchenette, and oversized doors to better connect the pool to an exterior setting. The overall effect is a soothing inviting space enjoyed from any angle.
